                                               Rock of Truth

           As the walls of tyranny and the New World Order continue to close in faster and faster around us, it has become apparent that the promised ‘transformative change’ is occurring faster and faster with each passing day? It has become so overwhelming in fact, that it has literally become humanly impossible to even keep track of it; as if the very gates of hell itself have opened up to overrun us. Sadly in the onslaught, many will be tempted to just throwing up their arms in despair. But before you do, know that this is all calculated, all part of the plan; and Key to their plan to break us down, are the lack of trust and uncertainty (we have all experienced) that accompany the age old tactic of deception. From the false hopes and fools gold of ‘redistribution’, ‘social justice’ and the endless ‘entitlements’ that are the temptations of Marxism, to Keynesian Economics, the Dewey System, and the ‘deconstruction’ of our Constitution that assure our destruction, to Agenda 21, the Federal Reserve, ‘Project Gun Runner’, TARP, FEMA, ACLU, ACORN, the media, National Council of Churches, ‘Card Check’ and Global Warming, to the ‘Louisiana Purchase’ & Corn Husker Kick-back, the war in Libya, the ‘Responsibility to Act’,  flag@whitehouse.gov and John McCain,… the deception and mistrust are everywhere! However with all that is in question and all that is whirling about us in this tempest of projection, misdirection and duplicity, there is an answer; an answer that is as simple and pure as it is old. The answer is Truth! The very same Truth found in the “self-evident truths” and “Divine Providence” that our Founders mutually pledged their Lives, their Fortunes, and their Sacred Honor to support.

    The truth is a rock, the most stable of ground upon which to stand. Without the absolute knowledge that we are standing on truth, any and every argument to and fro between Liberty and Tyranny, right or wrong, or good and evil, are only a matter of baseless opinion without resolve. However if we stand firmly upon the ‘Rock of Truth’, what could they possibly matter, the quick sands of fear and uncertainty that seek to weigh so heavily upon our souls.

    The Declaration of Independence in itself is just such a Truth; as it is an original document. As misrepresented as it has been, you can still read it for yourself.

In it, not only did our Founders proclaim America’s Independence, they unflinchingly beheld to the whole world as a witness, the very principles and “self-evident truths” upon which she would stand; including how the Liberties of her people were one- established, two- to be maintained, and three- to be preserved. Such that:

    “When in the coarse of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God entitle them,…

     We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, - That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the people to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”. So it is that our Liberties are a gift from none other than God himself that, as Thomas Jefferson said, “are not to be violated but by his wrath”. So it is, that it is these “self-evident” truths that are our Founding principles.  And so it is that these principles are the solid ground, the Rock if you will, upon which the very foundation of America – the people’s Constitution, has been established.

    And despite the ever present Marxist proselytizing from the likes of Time Magazine’s managing editor Richard Stengel who to the question regarding our Constitution - “What would the framers say?” wrote: “The truth is we don’t know?” ⁽¹⁾, the simple truth is we do know.  Again as original documents the Federalist Papers hold un-misinterpreted, un-deconstructed truth. Written by John Jay, Alexander and James Madison in response to anti-Federalist concerns regarding the potential loss of Liberty under the new federal government, they are the original owner’s manual to the People’s “limited” Constitution. Know them, and from their Truth the untruths attributed to the Constitution and its meaning not only become obvious their malignance is terminated. Then from the Rock of Truth let the Constitution be championed. In fact there are many original documents passed down from an array of  “other Federalists” ⁽²⁾ as well, including Noah Webster, John Dickinson, James Wilson and Tench Coxe, whose writings on the Right to Bear Arms & the Militia, may be some of the only reasons we still have them today. Know them and you can stand strong for Liberty on the firmest of ground.                   

      As brave and determined as our Founders were in their efforts and sacrifice to preserve our sacred Liberty, and just as they were men and women of the highest moral standing,, they were just as thankful, and just as humble. They knew, as is reflected in our Declaration of Independence, that true Liberty is ours only by the grace of God ⁽³⁾; that in a world where evil exists, as it does, it cannot be preserved but by a “firm reliance” on his “divine providence”. Or as George Washington wrote during the war in 1778, “The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations.”.⁽⁴⁾  So much for him being a Deist. They knew, as a self governing Free People, that our God given Liberties would remain ours only as long as our moral standards remained high enough to prevent unprincipled and/or offensive action. Or in the words of President John Adams, “[W]e have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion…Our Constitution was made only for a moral people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.” ⁽⁵⁾  And they knew, that wherever America’s religion and morals would go, her Liberties would be sure to follow. The writings of Samuel Adams for instance, have been crystal clear: “Religion and morals are the only solid foundation of public liberty and happiness. [N]either the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. A general dissolution of the principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than  the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous, they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue, they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.” ⁽⁶⁾ How true have these words proven to be?      

      In the late summer of 1780, with the Revolutionary War raging full on, and the hope of victory in question, it came to be known that an ominous plan of treachery was to be committed against our efforts for Independence. General Benedict Arnold, the Commanding Officer of the strategically vital Post at West Point, having conspired with the enemy, was to “deliver” that Post to the British. On Sept 26^th  the American General Nathanael Greene, made a report to his men and Congress regarding this revelation stating, “Treason of the blackest dye” was yesterday discovered!... Such an event must have given the American cause a deadly wound if not a fatal stab. Happily the treason has been timely discovered to prevent the deadly misfortune. The Providential train of circumstances which led to it affords the most convincing proof that liberties of America are the object of Divine protection”. Upon receiving the news, a much relieved and grateful Congress released a proclamation drafted by Samuel Adams, William Houston, and Fredric Muhlenberg on October 18^th declaring: “Where as it has pleased Almighty God, the Father of all mercies, amidst the vicissitudes [changes] and calamities of war, to bestow blessings on the people of these States which call for their devout and thankful acknowledgements, more specifically in the late remarkable interposition of his watchful providence in rescuing the person of our Commander-in-Chief and the army from imminent dangers at the moment when treason was ripened for execution...it is therefore recommended to the several States …a day of public thanksgiving and prayer; that all people may assemble on that day to celebrate the praises of our Divine Benefactor; to confess our unworthiness of the least of his favors, and to offer our fervent supplications to the God of all graces…”. ⁽⁷⁾  Who among us today are prepared to be so humble, not just to believe and have faith in God, but to “confess our unworthiness of the least of his favors”?

         In the end it is the Holy Scriptures that are the original documents of all original documents and they hold the truth of all truths.  In 1791 Signer of the DOI Benjamin Rush, put it this way, “Now the Bible contains more truth than any other book in the world: so true is the testimony that it bears of God in His works of creation, providence, and redemption, that it is called Truth itself.” ⁽⁸⁾  Know the Truth of all truth, and at least, as we are told in Ephesians 4:14, “ we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the slight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive”.  Once we do, Liberty can once again be steadfastly championed from the Rock of Truth, as it was at the time of our Founding, “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.”

                               Keynesian Death Spiral  

                Have you noticed lately, despite being barraged with patronizing assurances from government and media outlets of low inflation and an improving economy, that groceries are costing more and more?…That your hard earned dollar is buying less and less? Have you ever wondered what the hell is going on that you would have to work hours of overtime or take a second job just to keep up, let alone get ahead? If you have, you’re not alone. The stress of making ends meat in today’s economy couldn’t be clearer or more evident, than it is in the disheartened sighs and expressions of the American people standing at the end of the check-out line. So who are we to believe, the government and their media outlets or our grocery bill?  And why if prices are actually skyrocketing, would they want to try and mislead us? What are they trying to hide?

         At the time of our Founding our currency was based on the exchange of true assets, a trade of property owned for property desired. Gold and silver have long been used as currency as they are actual property owned, and are true assets. Any owned property or asset with a true market value such as furs and tobacco have also been used.  However as the value of gold and silver have remained relatively steady for centuries they have remained the standard in trade currency, not only in America but around the world. What value does paper have? How much paper would an ounce of gold buy? How much gold, or how many groceries, does a small piece of paper buy?

         Our Founders were well aware of the dangers that paper money poses to a Free People.  In a l791 letter to James Monroe, Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Experience has proved to us that a dollar of silver disappears for every dollar of paper emitted.”.   It is not by accident that Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, establishes that Congress, (and only Congress), has been granted the power “To coin [and not print] Money” and “regulate the Value thereof”; or that in Section 10 it is mandated that “No State shall …make any Thing but gold or silver coin a Tender in Payments of Debts;”. Our Founders knew by experience that any deviant with the power to print paper money, would also be in power to control the value of it. As noted above only Congress has been granted the power to “coin” and “regulate the value” of Money. However in 1913, in direct violation of the ‘People’s Trust’, both Congress and President Woodrow Wilson transferred that power from Congress, to a group of private bankers in the Federal Reserve Act. They didn’t even retain for themselves the authority of oversight or power to audit the ‘Fed’. So the guys at the new ‘Federal Reserve Bank’ were free to print, print, print and profit, tax free. As the abundance of cash first hit the streets it stimulated what came to be known as the ‘Roaring Twenties’, but then came the inflation, deflation, and the Great Depression.

       The ‘Fed’ printing money to either “stimulate the economy” or purchase debt is referred to as ‘Quantitative Easing’ or the “Monetization” of debt. With U.S debt up in the Hundreds of $Billions annually, the government sells bonds to cover it. With nobody left in the world that wants to buy U.S. Bonds, and our credit rating ready to take a dive, the Fed simply monetizes the debt to (directly or indirectly) buy them; putting you, me, and tax payers yet to be born on the hook for it! Not only for the money borrowed plus interest, and the profit earned by the Fed as the bonds mature, but for the higher and higher inflation that comes with an increasingly devalued dollar caused by the over-printing to cover all the spending. And they’re looking to spend $Trillions and $Trillions more in “stimulus”, debt ceiling or not!!!  It’s a system , that at least from our perspective as a Free People, was and is designed to fail! One only needs to look up what happened to the Weimar Republic or Zimbabwe to see where all this printing of paper money leads. For Zimbabwe in 2009, it led to 231 million% inflation and $50Billion dollar bills that might buy you a loaf of bread              

      On April 5, 1933 President Franklin D. Roosevelt, invoking President Wilson’s ‘Trading With The Enemies Act’ of 1916, issued  Executive Order #6102, the ‘Emergency Banking Relief Act declaring the “Hoarding” of more than $100 worth of gold  by U.S. citizens illegal;  punishable by $10,000 (closer to $170,000 today) and 10 years in jail. All gold and gold certificates were ordered returned to the government by May 1^st 1933. The exchange rate paid was $20.67/ ounce. After confiscation, the ‘Gold Reserve Act’ of 1934 revalued the exchange to $35/ounce. This did not increase the value of gold it decreased the value of our money by over 40%. It also led to an increase of wholesale costs to Americans of about 33%. But as American citizens were no longer allowed to hold gold as property, only foreigners were allowed to exchange their gold certificates at the inflated rate, devaluing the purchasing power of the dollar world wide. Gold remained illegal in America until President Ford signed its re-legalization on December 31, 1974. Even though gold is legal today, neither the Emergency Banking Act nor the ‘Trading With The Enemies Act’ have ever been fully repealed. All the President has to do is declare a “National Emergency” to invoke them to confiscate all our gold, or any other property, all over again.      

      With the elimination of the gold standard, came the ‘Federal Reserve Note’, and our money became referred to as ‘Fiat’; that’s backed by nothing and worth nothing except for what the ‘Fed’ and or the government say it is. So not only is the government now free to spend and the Fed free to print at will, the value of our hard earned dollar, which is what we base the value of our property, time and labor on, is now effectively owned, and manipulated by them at will! The more money they spend, the more they tax us. The more they tax us, the harder we have to work for the money that’s worth less and less, to pay for it all!  It’s a death spiral! They have essentially forced us to keep our ‘noses to the grind stone’ so effectively, that we have had little to no time to baby-sit them. And while we have been so busy at our toil, they have stolen our Country!        

     Before confiscation the dollar was worth around 1/21 of an ounce of gold. After confiscation it was worth 1/35 of an ounce. In 1971, the year President Nixon “temporarily” terminated the gold standard it was worth 1/41 of an ounce. However by the year 2000 your dollar would only buy you 1/255 of an ounce. As of April 2011, you’d be lucky to get 1/1,538^th of an ounce. In the 78 years since confiscation the US Dollar has lost over 7142% of its value, 84% of that loss occurring in just the last 11 years. ⁽¹⁾  And according to goldcoin.org, even if the dollar’s value was to keep falling at the average rate it has fallen over the past 40 years, it would put the dollar at less than 1/11,000^th of an ounce; or gold at over $11,000/ounce within the next year or so. ⁽²⁾  No wonder Walmart CEO Bill Simon has warned that inflation is “going to get serious…at pretty rapid rate”.  Who but the enemies of our Republic, our Constitution, Free-Enterprise and the Free World would knowingly commit such treachery? 

      Welcome to Keynesian Economics! John Maynard Keynes’s ‘Fabian Socialist’ scheme of unlimited government spending to “save American capitalism” with “creeping inflation”, calls for the government to spend until deep in debt, then spend even more to get out of debt.  In reality it is a two part tactical assault on our Freedom. First the limitless spending and printing will destroy the dollar, and with it our free-market capitalist system. Second, the more money government spends the more money it can attach strings to, and take control of its beneficiaries. FDR fell for it as the cornerstone of his “New Deal”; yet another Fabian Socialist concept stolen from Stewart Chase’s book by the same name. In his book Chase explains:  “Best of all, the new regime would have the clearest idea of what an economic system was for. The sixteen methods of becoming wealthy would be proscribed—by firing squad if necessary—ceasing to plague and disrupt the orderly process of production and distribution. Money would no longer be an end, but would be thrust back where it belongs as a labor-saving means. The whole vicious pecuniary complex would collapse as it has in Russia. Money making as a career would no more occur to a respectable young man than burglary, forgery or embezzlement. “Everyone,” says Keynes, “will work for the community and, if he does his duty, the community will uphold him.” Money making and money accumulating cannot enter into the life calculations of a rational man in Russia. A society of which this is even partially true is a tremendous innovation.”

      The same ‘Fabian (wolf in sheep’s clothing) Socialist’ philosophy was applied globally under the “Bretton Woods System” of 1944. Coincidently this was also orchestrated by none other than Keynes himself. Essentially it set up a ‘World Bank’ and an overseeing council, referred to today as the ‘International Monetary Fund’, to impose a global ‘Cap & Tax’ of sorts, to encourage the redistribution of wealth from “rich” western Nations to the rest of the world for “world prosperity”. Sound familiar? At the Bretton Woods conference Keynes stated: "Freedom of capital movements is an essential part of the old laissez-faire system and assumes that it is right to have an equalisation of interest rates in all parts of the world. ... In my view the wholemanagement of the domestic economy depends upon being free to have the appropriate rate of interest without reference to the rates prevailing elsewhere in the world. Capital control is a corollary to this.⁽³⁾. With “capital control”, Bretton Woods would help prevent money & business from fleeing the crushing burdens of increased taxes and regulations that accompany the imposed social programming and “engineering” associated with the “creeping collectivism” of the west!  Also coincidently, Harry Dexter White, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, was instrumental in establishing the IMF, before being appointed the U.S. Executive Director of it in 1946. He was Chairman of the Bretton Woods Confrence, and along with a couple dozen others including Alger Hiss, Lauchlin Currie and Frank Coe, White was exposed as an active member of the "Silvermaster" Soviet spy ring that had infiltrated multiple high level positions in the U.S. government! Their mission? To not only gather information, but to also “create policy” in America and around the world beneficial to the Soviet Union.⁽⁴⁾ And the destruction of Capitalism is key to the success of the Communist New World Order!

                                   Are You A Communist?

            As Americans we have been blessed to live in a Republic founded on the fundamental principles of Natural Rights, Individual Liberty and ‘Equal Justice’. Our Life, Liberty, pursuit of Happiness, and Property were all to be protected; that they be secured not just for ourselves, but for our Posterity. It is our Constitution that insures a “Free” society of Maximum Freedom with Rule of Law!!! So it is, that it is our Law Enforcement Officers, our Police, by the very nature of their duty and their sworn oaths to “support and Defend” the people’s Constitution, who are at the front lines of our Liberty every hour of every day. May they never falter! It is they along with our Military, who place their lives at risk in order to protect our Life, our Property, our Liberty and our very way of life from those who would, and do, conspire against them! And as it is with our Military, the great majority of our ‘Sworn’ Officers, (at least among the rank and file) hold their Oath to “support and defend” the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies both foreign and domestic, as sacred. No Freedom-loving American would ever work to undermine these Officers, assault them, throw bottles at them, spit on them, or yell DEATH TO THE FASCIST PIGS!!! Would our Police Officers really ever stand ‘in solidarity’ with the lawlessness of such Anarchy? 

           As the State and Local governments, under tax payer mandate, have begun to work to bring their run-a-way budgets in order, they have been met with stiff and even violent resistance; not only throughout America, but throughout Europe, Mexico and the Mideast as well. The common denominator?... Labor Unions! Most union workers consider themselves to be very patriotic Freedom-Loving Americans united for a stronger America. Recall the slogan “Be American Buy American”. The last thing they would consider themselves to be, is aligned with is Communism. But this fact only exemplifies the level to which those who stand ‘in solidarity’ with the ‘Labor Movement’ today have, knowingly or unknowingly, succumbed to the strategic onslaught of their Socialist-Communist indoctrination into the mindset of the “collective”, and “collective” rights. It also exposes the degree of deception that defines the Progressive–Marxist–Socialist-Communist agenda to eliminate our Free Market Capitalism. And they will eat their own to see it happen. As the original Communist Adam Weishaupt first said, “The ends justify the means”…by any means necessary. There is no denying that Marx’s (then Andy Stern’s) "workers of the world unite" is communism!!!

            Unions claim any cut or change in union member benefits are a violation of their collective “rights”. But are they? Consider collective “rights” such as a “right” to a job, a living wage, an education, health benefits, social security, welfare, family planning, a house, and other various commodities, don’t even exist under our Natural Constitutional Law. They can only be found in Communist Doctrine! (Soviet Constitution Articles 39-46) As America proclaimed to the world in her Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness…”, Our ‘Individual Rights’ are a gift from God! These are the ‘Natural Rights’ of every single individual, endowed to each and every one of us by our Creator. For a right to become “collective”, it must first be surrendered by the Individual to the “collective”. In other words any “collective right” claimed is in reality a lost “Individual Right”, surrendered to a “collective” hierarchy or governing body such as a union! People can NOT possess collective rights! When, as the Declaration of Independence goes on to say, “…That to secure these rights Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”, it is “We The People” who have consented to the surrender of a ‘limited’ degree of our ‘God Given’ individual Sovereignty, and Rights in order to empower the government just enough to “secure these Rights”.   The ‘limited’ degree to which we empowered our government here in America is specifically enumerated in the Constitution. Any powers exercised by government outside our “Limited Constitution” is therefore ‘without our consent’, and in violation of our ‘Individual Rights’ never surrendered! People can only have collective rights to the degree that governments can have an individual right, both are equally impossible!

           Unions claim any compromise or limitation of union power is an assault on the “middle class”. But is it when they only represent about 8% of America’s total labor force? The middle class argument is a lie! In reality the Progressives Marxists and the unions who have aligned themselves with them, not only despise middle class America, they have pledged to destroy it in their Comming Insurrection! In “Rules For Radicals”, the famed Progressive Socialist Saul Alinsky who spawned “community organizing” and groups like ‘ACORN’, elaborates as to whom his activist ‘community organizers’, including Barak Obama, truly are:  

       “With rare exception, our activists and radicals are products of and rebels against our middle class society. All rebels must attack the power states in their society. Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeos (capitalist), degenerate, imperialistic, war mongering, brutalizing, and corrupt. They are right;”  

          Since Socrates, Aristotle and Plato there have been those who have sought a ‘New World Order’ where an Orwellian ‘One World Government’ has complete totalitarian control over every person on earth. The biggest threats to their success then were three things; God (Judeo-Christian), Free Enterprise (capitalism), and the Family. Why? - Because it is with these three simple things Individuals are free to empower themselves. First, with God and our God given Rights there is Free Will, faith, and divine providence. And with God are not ‘All Things Possible’? Second, under Free-Market Capitalism there is the limitless potential of incentive and self-reliance; as the lowliest of peasants, and the poorest of poor are forced to labor no more merely for profit of Kings and Rulers, but for the comfort and advancement of their own families, and the ownership of their own property. And third, a strong nuclear family is sovereign, tenaciously steeped in their traditions and faith, and as such is most resilient to any outside interference and indoctrination efforts. With Communism and the elimination of these things government replaces God, nothing has a value unless the government says does, and the love of family is replaced by the needs of, and your obligation to, the “collective”! If you don’t like it, YOU DIE!!! 

        From Weishaupt and Rousseau, Marx, Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini and Mao, to the Fabian ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing’ such as Shaw, Lippmann, Chase, Ellis, Dewey, Sanger, and Keynes(of Keynesian economics), to Soros, Alinsky, Cloward & Piven, the song has remained the same…Rid the world of the Jews, the Christians, and the Capitalists/ Bourgeoisie. The ‘proletariat’ or “workers of the world” being ‘organized’ against Capitalism is at heart of their ‘Communist’ revolution.  Per none other than Vladimir Lenin himself:

       The ‘Apollo Alliance’ is just one example of labor union hierarchy collaborating with known Communists. It consists of union leaders from several labor unions including the AFL-CIO, SEIU, and the United Steel Workers (USW), along with ‘Students For A Democratic Society’ (SDS), ‘Progressive Labor Party’ (PLP), Black Radical Congress (BRC), ‘Democratic Socialists of America’ (DSA), and ‘National Welfare Rights Organization’ (NWRO) members, environmental extremists, Founders of ACORN, the Pro-Soviet anti-American Institute for Policy Studies,the Weather Underground, the anti-Law Enforcement ‘Bay Area Police Watch’ and Speak Truth to Powercurriculum, George Soros’s ‘Tides Foundation’ and ‘Center For American Progress’, the Obama White House, ex-convicts, cop killer supporters, and cop killers alike.  

     Do you think that all these Radicals, Revolutionaries, Domestic Terrorists, Communists, Socialists, Globalists, and Labor Unions who are so closely intertwined, have “combined to destroy the people’s Liberty”, by coincidence? Or that they wrote Obama’s Keynesian Stimulus Bill by chance? Or that SEIU’s Stephen Lerner getting caught conspiring to collapse & destroy America’s banking industry, along with the very stock markets that our personal investments and retirement plans depend upon, was happenstance? What’s to be made of our Military no longer fighting under the authority of our Congress, but that of the UN? Or that they are now, not only fighting with but for, and arming, the same damn terrorist that hit us on 911? 

     As they exist today, unions could not exist without a powerful government interfering on their behalf. Their very existence depends on the continued growth, and the increased control, of an extra-constitutional government shielding them from our Courts (Norris-LaGuardia), Market forces(Davis-Bacon), and mandating taxpayers be forced by rule of law, to subsidize them. As we know it is the Constitution that limits government to preserve our Liberty, and that unions NEED government to grow beyond it’s limitations to survive, we know unions and Communism share a common enemy… the Constitution of the United States of America! 

       Is it a coincidence that union protests have become synonymous with an Anarchist-Communist, anti- Individual, anti-private sector, anti capitalist revolutionary atmosphere? Union members, look at the red flags, chants, and signs of Communism, Socialism, Anarchism and the ‘New World Order’ THAT ARE ALL AROUND YOU!!! You might want to ask yourself a few questions. Are the Communists there to support you? Why? Have they high jacked your protest? Or have YOU been seduced, by them AND YOUR UNION, into throwing your Country and Constitution under the union bus, to come and stand ‘in solidarity’ with them in their COMMUNIST REVOLUTION? Are you a Communist? If not, might you be, if Liberty comes at the cost of some, or all of your ‘Social SECURITY’ or ‘Prevailing’ union PRIVILAGES?

       In 1772 Samuel Adams wrote: “Is it not High Time for the People of this Country explicitly to declare, whether they will be Freemen or Slaves? It is an important Question which ought to be decided. It concerns us more than any Thing in this Life. The Salvation of our Souls is interested in the Event: For whatever Tyranny is establish’d, Immorality of every Kind comes in like a Torrent. It is in the Interest of Tyrants to reduce the people to Ignorance and Vice. For they can not live in a Country where Virtue and Knowledge prevail. The Religion and public Liberty of a People are intimately connected; their interests are interwoven, they cannot subsist separately; and therefore they rise and fall together. For this Reason, it is always observable, that those who are combined to destroy the People’s Liberty, practice every Art to poison their Morals. How greatly then does this concern us, at all Events, to put a Stop to the Progress of Tyranny.”  

       In 2007 the Communist ‘Invisible Committee’ wrote in The Coming Insurrection:

   “It was about time that F-ck the Police! Replaced Yes Sir, Officer! In this sense, the open hostility of certain gangs only expresses, in a slightly less muffled way, the poisonous atmosphere, the rotten spirit, the desire for a salvational destruction by which the Country is consumed.” 

   “It’s useless to wait – for a breakthrough, for the revolution, the nuclear apocalypse or a social movement. To go on waiting is madness. The catastrophe is not coming, it is here. We are already situated within the collapse of a civilization. It is within this reality that we must choose sides”. And so we must!!! But choose wisely, and keep in mind, as Adams also said, “If you love wealth greater than Liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animated contest of Freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your council of arms, crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may your Posterity forget that you were ever our Countrymen.”

                    Of Bulwarks & Constitutional Crisis

       There is a fundamental philosophy to our Representative Republic that, simply put, prioritizes the preservation of the Liberty of “our Posterity”, over the potential ‘mob rule’ of a Democracy that our Founders rejected. That our Constitution would survive the test of time in order to preserve that Liberty. However, it is the hope of many a revolutionary of “transformative change”, both foreign and domestic, that it won’t survive.    

             Paramount to the preservation of America’s ‘Individual Liberty’, are the separation of powers between our three branches of government. As James Madison explained in Federalist Essay #51,  

                   “where the constant aim is to divide and arrange the several        

                 offices in such a manner as that each may be a check on the other;   

                 that the private interest of every individual, may be a centinel over 

                 the public rights”.

Most of us come to know about our three branch system of government at an early age. So when a multi-term U.S. Senator, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), publicly redefines them and divulges that, “We have three branches of government. We have a house, we have a senate, we have a president”, red flags go up. As embarrassingly humorous as his statement may appear to be, it’s not nearly half as funny as it is Freudianly revealing. What of the Judiciary?  Just imagine the endless realm of possibilities in such a ‘ Fabian Fantasy’ as Schumer’s, that a run-a-way Legislature together with a run-a-away Executive, could bring to bear upon the Liberties of America; if only it weren’t for the reality checks of the Judicial, to void their conniving schemes as unconstitutional!   

        In the words of Alexander Hamilton from Federalist Essay #78, the elimination of the Judiciary would be the elimination of “the bulwarks of a limited Constitution against legislative encroachments”. What’s a bulwark?  A “bulwark” is a wall. However, unlike the left’s fabled ‘wall of separation’, the Judicial Branch, in particular the Supreme Court, is an actual ‘Wall Of Protection’ established by Article III of the Constitution . As the Constitution is “The Bulwarks” of the Liberties of the people, so then is the Supreme Court the “The Bulwarks” of the Constitution itself! But as our Founders well knew, the efforts of the enemies of Liberty and the Constitution, to circumvent ‘The Bulwarks’ will know no bounds. As former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi herself has warned,

 "If the gate is closed, we will go over the fence. If the fence is too high, we will pole-vault in. If that doesn't work, we will parachute in. But we are going to get… reform passed”.

 And so they have.

         Some insight into our Founder’s reasoning, and the need for a separation of powers is explained by Madison in Federalist Essay #51,      

              “the great security against a gradual concentration of the several powers in the same department, consists in giving to those who administer each department the necessary constitutional means and personal motives to resist encroachments of the others…It may be a reflection on human nature, that such devices should be necessary to control the abuses of government. But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions.”

      But is our government ‘obliged to control itself’? Considering such past actions as Woodrow Wilson’s Sedition Act of 1918 and the fascisti of his American Protective League, FDR’s New Deal, National Industrial Recovery Act, and Internment, and the flat out socialism of LBJ’s Great Society, the answer is a resounding NO!!! And as our Founders rightfully feared, undermining the Constitution has actually amounted to one of (if not) the grandest of Governments accomplishments. !

      The works of the 111^th Congress under Pelosi alone, not counting the “Louisiana Purchases” or “Corn Husker Kick-backs”, are virtually insurmountable. Consider Obama’s Wall St Reform Act that among other things gives the President plenary power to take over private business he deems “to big to fail”, and his proposed internet Kill Switch limiting and/or denying Americans access to information? Consider both Acts deny the people a judicial review of them. Consider the Court packing of FDR. First he attempted to remove Judicial review by Amendment, which would have molded the Constitution according to agenda. Then he attempted to force retirement of Justices by a certain age, and increase the number of Justices from 9 to 15. FDR of course being the one to pick the 6 new Justices, that would then rule in favor of his agenda over the constitution. Obama, following in perfect lockstep, appointed two of the most anti-Constitution Justices yet, Elena Kagan and, Sonia Sotomayor. He appointed them solely based on their unapologetic contemptuous eagerness to subvert the “negative liberties” of the Constitution. Their sworn Oaths notwithstanding. Who needs foreign enemies?

If we heed the warning of our Founders and the Constitution can never be thought secure, then neither can the Judicial ever be thought secure, from either the Executive and/or the Legislative. Nor for that matter should the Executive or the Legislative ever be thought secure from each other.  As per Hamilton in Federalist #78

                   “Whoever attentively considers the different departments of power must perceive, that, in a government in which they are separated from each other, the judiciary, from the nature of its functions, will always be the least dangerous to the political rights of the Constitution; because it will be least in a capacity to annoy or injure them. The Executive not only dispenses the honors, but holds the sword of the community. The legislature not only commands the purse, but prescribes the rules by which the duties and rights of every citizen are to be regulated. The judiciary, on the contrary, has no influence over either the sword or the purse; no direction either of the strength or of the wealth of the society; and can take no active resolution whatever. It may truly be said to have neither force nor will, but merely judgment; and must ultimately depend upon the aid of the executive arm even for the efficacy of its judgments”.

       Reminiscent of the antipathy towards Chief Justice John Marshall's 1832 ruling, declaring ‘Indian Removal’ unconstitutional, that reportedly spurred President Andrew Jackson to respond, “John Marshall has made his decision, let him enforce it, if he can”, Obama has also rebuked the Courts. Despite his ‘Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’, being ruled unconstitutional and therefore void, (in just the manner as prescribed by our Founders), members of both Congress and his Administration, have refused to acknowledge Judge Vinson’s ruling. When Obama withheld his Executive aid “for the efficacy” of the Court’s “judgment”, he both deviated from his constitutional duty as prescribed by Hamilton above, and flat out violated his sacred oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America”.  Notably in this case, there was no Injunction (court order to stop implementation) ordered, but as Judge Vinson stipulates in his ruling,

    “Injunctive relief is an “extraordinary” and “drastic” remedy.  It is even more so when the party to be enjoined is the federal government, for there is a long-standing presumption “that officials of the Executive Branch will adhere to the law as declared by the court. As a result, the declaratory judgment is the functional equivalent of an injunction.”

       Just when you thought Congress was finally going to get something right, and for once get things started on the right foot with a reading of the Constitution, (hope you weren’t holding your breath) reality, once again slapped us all across face.  Just before the reading began, Rep. Jay Inslee (D-Wash.) used what they call a parliamentary inquiry to ask Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) which version of the Constitution would be read. The original Constitution with amendments tacked on the end? Or the Constitution with the amendments incorporated into the main text? What? Who among us even knew there were different versions of the Constitution? Though I have never ever heard of, or ever seen such an “amended” version in my life, that’s exactly what was read. Leave it to a bunch of politicians and lawyers to all along, have this ‘ace in the hole’, up their sleeve!   

  Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) then stated, "I want to be very clear in reading this sacred document," said Jackson, who preferred to have the version with amendments at the end read. "Given the struggle of African Americans and the struggle of women to create a more perfect document, we want to hear those elements of the Constitution that have been didacted. They are no less serious a part of our struggle and many of us don't want that to be lost."  I couldn’t agree more!!! He is exactly right!!!    As Jackson states there have been “elements of the Constitution that have been didacted”. ( Per Webster, “didactic: intended for instruction; …teaching or intending to teach a moral lesson”)   And by our Founders design, their text is to remain in the Constitution for all time! Why? So that we may learn by our mistakes yes, but also that we might always remember original text and original intent as well. No “version” of the Constitution is complete without them. Consider the extended powers given Congress to tax in the 16^th Amendment, the damage done to State sovereignty by the 17^th Amendment, and the ultimate Progressive accomplishment (so far) in lifestyle control under Prohibition in the 18^th Amendment!   However where Jackson gets it WAY wrong is his misrepresentation of history. At the center of the controversy is the so called “3/5 clause” that was amended by the 14^th Amendment, and left out of the congressional reading. The original words of Article I, Section 2 that were left out, according to my all-inclusive standard issue pocket Constitution are:

          If you read the original text of Article I Section 2 for yourself, it is made clear that it was never about the human or inhuman value of Blacks, but about the census and representation of “free Persons” in Congress. As a matter of fact, there are records that show that Blacks not slaves were considered “free-persons”, and often did have the rights of citizenship, and did vote, in both the North and the South! How many of us have ever been taught that in school? Article I - Section 2 goes on to say, “The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty thousand”.  So for every 30,000 “free persons”, each State would get a voting member of Congress. The more voting representatives the Slave States of the South could get in Congress, the more votes in Congress they would have, to get pro-slavery laws passed!!!   Taking into consideration that the 1790 Census revealed that in South Carolina alone, the slave population was 77% of the white population, and by 1820 slaves out numbered whites 265,000 to 237,000, and by 1860 they out numbered whites by 412,000 to 291,000, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why they wanted to have their slaves counted as “free persons”. 

         Our Founders were well aware what the slave States were trying to do, and argued against it. In his August 1787 speech Pennsylvania Delegate & Signer of the Constitution Gouverneur Morris stated:

    “Upon What principle is it that the slaves shall be computed in the representation? Are they men? Then make them citizens and let them vote!...[But t}he admission of slaves into the representation…comes to this: that the inhabitant of Georgia and South Carolina who goes to the coast of Africa and – in defiance of the most sacred laws of humanity – tears away his fellow creatures from their dearest connections and damns them to the most cruel bondage, shall have more votes in a government instituted for the protection of the rights of mankind than the citizen of Pennsylvania or New Jersey who views with a laudable horror so nefarious a practice”

      Constitutional Convention delegate Luther Martin argued:

                 [N]o principle can justify taking slaves into computation in apportioning the number of representatives a State should have in the government; it involve[s] the absurdity of increasing the power of a State in making laws for freeman in proportion as that State violate[s] the rights of freedom…[It] encourage[s] the slave trade and make[s] it the interest of the States to continue that infamous traffic [so that] slaves could not be taken into account as men or citizens.”                              

       To counter the absurd act of the South counting their slaves, considered by them to be nothing more than property, for the representation of free people, Martin also offered the following:

             “If they [slaves] were to be taken into account as “property”, then what peculiar circumstance should render this “property” …entitled to the high privilege of conferring consequence and power in the government to it’s possessors rather than any other property – [that is], why should slaves, as “property”, be taken into account rather than horses, cattle, mules, or any other type of property?”

  In other words if the south could count their slaves to get representation in congress to vote for pro-slavery laws, then Free States could count their horses and mules to get the representation in Congress to vote against them! The 3/5 clause was the compromise that allowed only 60% of the slaves, or 3/5 of them to be counted for representation. Not a perfect end by any means, but instead of earning the South a voting representative for every 30,000 slaves, it would now take 50,000. And in this sense, Thank God For The 3/5 Clause!!!

         In 1789 Congress would go on to pass the “Northwest Ordinance” forbidding slavery in all federal territories then held, lending to Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin all joining the Union as Free-States! And slavery was actually first abolished by Congress in 1808. How many of us knew that?  It wasn’t until the Democrats took control in Congress that this trend of recognizing the evils of slavery and the self evident truths “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights”, was reversed!      

         The Constitution, including the 3/5 clause, is not a thing to be ashamed of, but to the contrary it is to be held in the highest regard, as the protector of the rights and freedom of every American equally. And as far as the Constitution and slavery goes, nobody ever said it better than Mr. Fredrick Douglas:

         “[T]he Constitution is a glorious liberty document. Read its preamble; consider its purposes. Is slavery among them? Is it at the gateway? Or is it in the temple? It is neither…[I]f the Constitution were intended to be, by its framers and adopters, a slaveholding instrument, why neither slavery, slaveholding, or slave can anywhere be found in it?...Now, take the Constitution according to its plain reading and I defy the presentation of a single pro-slavery clause in it. On the other hand, it will be found to contain principles and purposes entirely hostile to the existence of slavery”.

      So to you my incumbent “Representatives”, be you Local, State or Federal, and to the Republican establishment as well (including Carl Rove), please allow me to clarify the message for you, as this is my vote - in plain English:

            I will no longer be  misrepresented by politicians such, as you,, whose loyalties do not lie with our Founding Principles as  established and “Lay(ed)” as the “Foundation” of  America’s government  in our Declaration Of Independence, and upheld in our Constitution! . I, as a Free American, will never support the lie of the Progressive Marxist agenda as it seeks to destroy the Constitution and replace our Freedom! Nor will I ever consider it to be anything other than the natural enemy of our Constitution and Individual Liberty that it is!  And I will no longer tolerate the willingness of those who have been all too eager to compromise our Founding Principles while feigning their defense, actually enabling that agenda, in exchange for political favor! 

             You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found unworthy to represent us!  You have arrogantly forgotten your place to humbly carry our voice to the halls of Constitutional government!  You have forsaken the “Life” of our “Posterity” for your personal political gain!  You have dismissed most if not all “ truths”  held  “ self- evident”,  have alienated us from our “unalienable Rights”, and forgotten  “governments are instituted” to “secure these Rights”!  You have rejected our Individuality, derailed our ability to realize our fullest potential,, and sabotaged the means of our “pursuit of Happiness”!  You have violated your sworn Oaths to “support”, “preserve, protect, and defend the (People’s) Constitution of the United States,( to) bear true faith and allegiance to the same;...without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion”!  You have lost your honor, and therefore our trust!  You have forgotten that you were never entitled to indebt our children and our children’s children to potentially hostile foreign governments! And you have forgotten that you were never, ever empowered to compromise our Sacred Liberty! 

             Take it for what you will, but if you consider the overwhelming and historic results of this year’s primaries, from across The Land,  I didn’t vote alone!!!  Then consider, that we have only just begun!!!

    Please pardon my inhibitions to eagerly jump onto Ken Paulson’s collective “1 for all” (and all for 1?) ban wagon to “stand up for the First Amendment”, as his contempt for both America’s Founders and our Founding Principles as set forth in the Declaration Of Independence and The Constitution of The United States, were shamelessly boasted for all to see, Independence Day notwithstanding! Please allow me to clarify:

      In his lead-off Ken Paulson states that “Every July 4^th, we celebrate the Founding Fathers who gave America the gift of liberty. Except that they didn’t”. And then referring to our Founders as “operatives” he says they did “a fine job building a nation founded on freedom – unless you happened to be a woman, a slave, or poor.”   Nice! Kind of says it all about Paulson right there!

     One - Liberty as established in the Declaration Of Independence is a natural and inherent Right endowed to us by our Creator. Our Founders only proclaimed their recognition of it to the world on behalf of the People of the new United States of America. What the 56 Signers did do, under the charge of Treason, with a price on their heads, and the threat of death by hanging is “mutually pledge to each other” their Lives, their Fortunes, and their sacred Honor for the support of it. Every single one of them, along with their entire families, paid some and some, paid all. How could we ever thank them enough for their honorable bravery and sacrifice?

     Two – America was founded on principles, again established in the Declaration Of Independence. Our Freedom is only as good as our government’s recognition of those principles, and its recognition of the Constitution that binds it to those principles! However at the expense of that Freedom, it is the Progressive Marxist platform and ‘social justice’ policies such as ‘redistribution’, the Fairness Doctrine, Universal Healthcare, Amnesty, Net Neutrality and Cap & Trade, that Paulson appears to be advocating, that seek to undermine that Constitution in order to empower government beyond its constitutional restraints.

     Three -   To say our Founders did a “fine job…unless your a woman, a slave, or poor, is to tactically misrepresent not only our Founders but the whole of American history. It implies women, slaves and the poor would have been better off under British rule, than under our Constitution. Did not entire families of both black and white Patriots suffer greatly during the revolutionary time period? Though their husbands may have been the ones who signed the Declaration, it was their wives along with as many as 12 or more children at their side, who while their husbands were called away in service of their Country for sometimes years at a time, who had to run for their very lives from their burning or cannon riddled homes. The exposure and anxiety of the war, and the stress of ever being hunted down putting many of them to a much too early grave! Not only that, more than one of the signer’s wives, along with some of the Signers themselves, were taken prisoner only to die from the maltreatment they received. It was under these conditions that Abigail Adams wrote to her husband John: “This intelligence will make a plain path for you, though a dangerous one. I could not join today in the petition of our worthy pastor for a  reconciliation between our no longer parent state but tyrant state and these Colonies. Let us separate; they are unworthy to be our brethren. Let us renounce them; and instead of supplications, as formerly, for their prosperity, let us beseech the Almighty to blast their counsels and bring to naught all their device.” ⁽¹⁾   Mary Williams, the wife of Signer William Williams, had throughout the entire war “thrown open” her home to the militia and soldiers. And during the winter of 1781, gave her home up entirely to the Officers of a detachment, taking residence elsewhere. ⁽²⁾  The women and their families were no less patriotic, sacrificed no less, and they worked to no less of a degree for Liberty than did the Founding “Operatives”.  Nor did the men alone fight and win our Independence, as there are many accounts of both women and children assisting the Militiamen, including one of the 15 year old granddaughter of Militia Colonel James Barrett, Meliscent, who taught the other young women of Concord how to assemble cartridges. When asked by a British soldier how the colonists might resist without cartridges, she snapped back “that they would use powder horns and bullets – just like they shot bear.”  And there are accounts of women and children melting their pewter dinnerware into bullets, and of  boys on horseback resupplying the Militia.⁽³⁾    Then there is the account of Tory Peter Oliver of the battle of Lexington & Concord. “The commanding Officer ordered the armed Rabble to disperse, upon which some of the armed Rabble returned an Answer from their loaded Muskets.” He then recorded the following particular event: 

     “There was a remarkable Heroine, who stood at an House Door firing at the King’s troops; there being men within who loaded Guns for her to fire. She was desired to withdraw, but she answered, only by insults from her own Mouth, & by Balls from the Mouths of her Muskets. This brought her own Death & the Deaths of those who were within Doors.” ⁽⁴⁾   Plain and simple, these People just didn’t take any crap from anybody, and they were willing to fight for and die for their convictions…in one word – Liberty.   Paulson can argue with these women all he wants but I think they could take him!

     Four -. How many are aware Thomas Jefferson’s first legislative act ever was to introduce legislation that would allow for a legal way for slave owners to free their slaves? Or that it was he who introduced the legislation making it illegal to import any more slaves into Virginia? ⁽⁵⁾  Slavery has never been constitutional, nor was it ever meant to be. Quite to the contrary it is the principles established, again in the Declaration Of Independence, and implemented in the Constitution as a whole (thanks to our Founding fathers), that when finally enforced ended it! All be it that it did take a Civil War and over 620,000 lives lost, and three separate Amendments to clarify it. In the words of former slave and advisor to President Lincoln  Fredrick Douglas, “I was on the anti-slavery question…fully committed to [the] doctrine touching the pro-slavery character of the Constitution…I advocated it with pen and tongue, according to the best of my ability…[U]pon a reconsideration of the whole subject, I became convinced…that the Constitution of the United States not only contained no guarantees in favor of slavery but, on the contrary, it is in its  letter and spirit an anti-slavery instrument, demanding the abolition of slavery as a condition of its own existence as supreme law of the land.”⁽⁶⁾  All you have to do is read it for yourself to know he was exactly right!  As it is the Progressive Democratic Party that undermines our Constitution and Founding principles to assault our Liberties today, so It was the Democratic Party that did the same to attack the Liberties of black Americans then. And as it is the Progressive Marxists Democratic Party that threatens to undermine the Constitution and American votes, via voting rights for illegal aliens today, so it was the Democratic Party who, via the KKK undermined the Constitution and votes of  black Americans then. Not only did they seek to destroy the lives and Liberty of black Americans, much of the violence and hatred was as much politically motivated as it was racially motivated. According to a study at the University of Missouri, between 1882 and 1964,- 4,743 individuals were lynched – 3,446 were black - 1,297 were white. ⁽⁷⁾     In 1881, it was reported by Joseph H. Rainey, a black U.S. Congressman from South Carolina, that Dr. John Winsmith, a white Republican State Senator, “ a man of nearly seventy years of age…joined the Republican Party in 1870; and for this alliance – and this alone – he has been vehemently assailed and murderously assaulted…Because he has dared become a Republican,…he has become the doomed victim of the murderous Ku Klux Klan.”  Though Mr. Winsmith was shot seven times in a hail of KKK bullets, he survived to testify before Congress of the attack ⁽⁸⁾   When the Constitution is subverted and undermined, and the meaning of it “Fundamentally Transformed”,  we are all as American Citizens, equally exposed to, at equal risk of, and equally at the mercy of… Tyranny!

      Five -         In all the history of the worldnowhere at anytime has there ever been so many people able to experience a bit of prosperity or the ‘fruits of Freedom’, as there has under the Freedoms and Liberties of the American Constitution and a Free Market! For over 5,000 years previous to our Founding, under one suppressive government after another, the technology level, standard of living, and prosperity level of the world remained relatively stagnant. Nowhere was there a place in the world for the human spirit to be a Liberty to implement inspirations and inventions, and be allowed keep the rewards of their labors. For the first time in history, with the Founding of America, that changed. From 1776 to 1976 America & the World would see a dramatic change. We would go from the horse & buggy to a man on the moon in under 200 years. As the current of freedom began to flow from the shores of American Liberty, everything about our standard of living, and that of the world would be revolutionized; communication, transportation, travel, electricity, the light bulb, home building, heating, air conditioning, Nuclear Power, radio, television, the assembly line, the literacy rate skyrocketed, advancements in farming and food technologies, and medical advancements that literally doubled our life expectancy! ⁽⁹⁾   This is why we were gifted the Statue of Liberty. It was in thanks from France, as she is carrying forward from our shores to the world, both torch and Blessings of Liberty!

     Then dismissing the Declaration Of Independence as “poetic flourish”, Paulson upholds the First Amendment, stand alone, as “the cornerstone of democracy”. He then states that the “core concept” behind 1 for All’ , is “a nationwide campaign to remind the public that there’s one amendment that we all use daily. And it’s the one that truly guarantees freedom for all”. - As if the rest of the Constitution is irrelevant. He then describes his “campaign” as a coalition of educators, artists, and lawyers. Great I’m suppose to trust that teachers, and teacher’s unions marching side by side, hand in hand, and  supported by, Progressive, Marxist, Socialist, Communist and Anarchist organizations the world over, to protest their contracts ⁽¹⁰⁾ , have my freedoms as their best interest? And may I ask are these the same artists that depend upon, and work for, The National Endowment of the Arts, at the expense of the taxpayers? And who are dependent, as Nancy Pelosi has said, on the benefits of Nationalized Universal Health care? And no problem on the lawyers either, as don’t we all trust them?   Mr. Paulson also says the 1^st Amendment contains “the most powerful passage in America’s history”, without ever telling us what that passage is. He goes on to explain that it is “the five freedoms guaranteed (in the 1^st Amendment) that gave Americans the right to speak out against (social?, racial?, environmental?) injustice, report inequality, to protest and petition, and to draw strength from freedom of faith.” All of which expose Paulson’s blatant anti-Constitution agenda, and that his efforts are simply, and shamelessly, more patronizing than Patriotic!

      Six - All important as the 1^st Amendment may be, it is the Declaration Of Independence that declared to the world not only our independence, but the Founding Principles and “self-evident truths” upon which the United States of America will forever stand!  It is the Declaration Of Independence that establishes recognition of Natural Law and the natural Rights of The People as coming from Nature’s God,  “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, - That when ever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these ends it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” ⁽¹¹⁾  It is these same principles upon which the Constitution including the 1^st Amendment, and our Republican Form of limited government was established. Yet Obama’s new Supreme Court appointee Elana Kagan has dismissed them as lawfully meaningless; She has to in order to deny us any recognition of our inherent and inalienable, natural and God given Rights so established in the Declaration!

     Seven - Nice try but, America is not a Democracy! Rightfully, we are a Constitutional Representative Republic! The difference being, per Article VI, is that any and all government officials and/or Representatives in our Republic “shall be bound by oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution”. In a simple Democracy governments are held to no such thing; they are NOT bound to “support” or “preserve, protect and defend …without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion”⁽¹²⁾ ,  the same Constitution that limits their powers while guarantying protection of the individual God given Rights and Liberty of the People! “So Help me God”!!! Not to mention Article IV Section 4 mandates that “The United States shall guarantee to every State in the Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion”. Funny how I don’t see any exception here for Arizona!  

    Eight - I’m going to go out on a limb and presume that the “Most powerful passage in American history” Paulson refers to, but fails to reveal in the First Amendment is the fabricated constitutionally subversive clause referring to the ‘wall of separation’ between Church and State. Sorry but there is no such clause! The actual 1^st Amendment states:

 “Congress shall make no Law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” ⁽¹³⁾    Nope, no separation of Church and State here!

     Nine -   I count at least 7 freedoms not 5. The first is our freedom from a State mandated or sponsored religion. The second is that Congress has no power to prohibit the free exercise of religion by anyone anywhere. The third is our freedom of speech, which would include the unlimited sources of information now available to us as a result of that freedom including books, talk radio, and the internet, without any such threats as “Sedition Acts”, “Fairness Doctrines” or “Net Neutrality” that would deny or limit that Right. As far as reporting injustice and inequality, why would supporters of unconstitutional Government need protection from the government to “report” a perceived injustice or inequality back to that government? Or to implement unconstitutional government mandated redistributions to address them? The Constitution protects us from a limited government, it does not protect the government from a limited people! The fourth is freedom of the press, presumably to scrutinize and criticize government; not to sympathize with or justify unconstitutional government and criticize our Liberty!  How free will the press be after a government bailout and takeover? Whose perspective will they preserving by doing so? The fifth is our right peaceably to assemble. The sixth is our Right to petition the Government. However not only do we have a Right to petition, we have a Right “to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”, that makes seven. However, as our rights are individual, we are at liberty to freely express each of these Liberties as Jefferson describes, “within the circle drawn around us by the equal Rights of others”, as best insures our Happiness, and the Happiness of our Posterity.

    Ten - Being that we can  have “faith” in anyone or anything (even in government), it is ourFreedom of Religion that is reiterated in the 1^st Amendment.It’s only reiterated there because nowhere in the Constitution is the Government delegated any powers by ‘The People’, that even remotely allow it to come anywhere near any of our Inalienable Rights. These Rights would include worshiping our Creator, religious expression, and a belief in a here-after where we all meet our final Judgment!  Article VI of the Constitution mandates that:

    “This Constitution, and Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

      The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures , and all the executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution, but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”   ⁽¹⁴⁾  

     No Religious Test was necessary so as Chief Justice Joseph Story explained, “…the Catholic and Protestant, the Calvinist, and the Armenian, the Jew, and the Infidel, may sit down at a common table of national councils without any inquisition into their faith or mode of worship.”⁽¹⁵⁾       

 Signer of the Declaration Rufus King lamented, “[In o]ur Laws…by the oath which they prescribe, we appeal to the Supreme Being so to deal with us in the hereafter as we observe the obligation of our oaths. The Pagan world were and are without the mighty influence of this principle which is proclaimed in the Christian system – their morals were and are destitute of its powerful sanction while their oaths neither awaken the hopes nor fears which a belief in Christianity inspires.⁽¹⁶⁾  This is why the Progressive Marxist Manifesto requires the removal of God from anywhere and everywhere that it can; because as George Washington questioned in his Farwell Address, “[W]here is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the Oaths…?”⁾⁽¹⁷⁾

        Without skipping a beat Paulson goes on to “teach” us how it was the First Amendment that “freed the slaves”, and “extended the vote to women”. Never mind the fact that, as mentioned above, the Constitution never allowed for slavery, or racial or gender discrimination, or that it was actually the 13^th, 14^th, 15^th, and 19^th  Amendments that outlawed slavery, and clarified both citizenship and voting rights for all citizens, regardless of either gender or race. Please read them for yourselves for your own verification of the truth, because from what I can tell Paulson never has!             

          The one question I’m left with is, as a ‘Founder’ of ‘1 For All’ and president of  Newseum and the First Amendment Center, does Ken Paulson’s misrepresentations of both history and our Constitution expose a hidden agenda behind their supposed effort to “stand up for the First Amendment” ? Be wary America! Be very very wary, as this may very well be just one more redistributive Progressive-Marxist effort to ‘Fundamentally Change’ what the Constitution means to us; and by using its own First Amendment against it! I am moved say this as I have had to address way too many ‘red flags’ in this article alone not to be at least skeptical, but I could be wrong.

      The most common argument heard from the Progressive/Marxist/Socialist/Fascist/Communist/Racial-Eco-Social Justice/government control crowd,  against Individual Liberty and Freedom, is that Freedom isn't fair. They say we must think of 'equality for all' first before advocating 'personal freedom'.   Though the cry for 'Equality For All' may be their temptation to servtitude, but it is an out right lie!  It isn’t only unsubstantiateable in nature, it’s an oxymoronic impossibility, that if accepted as premise, would be in direct conflict with, and extinguish completely, their holiest of Holy Grails… the ‘Theory Of Evolution’! 

     Nowhere in nature does “equality for all” exist, nor could it… ever. If it did ‘natural selection’, ‘survival of the fittest’, and therefore evolution itself, would all be impossible!!! So I guess we need to ask which, if either, of these conflicting brainchild’s of elitist ‘Ivy League’ enlightenment you lefties want to ‘believe in’ more?  “Life Line” anyone?

      The utopian theory of ‘equality for all’, if it could possibly exist at all, could only occur through an unnatural and all-controlling force that could only end, if it was somehow obtained, in mass extinctions; and quite possibly the very end of life on earth as we know it!!!

      Example #1   Even if given two genetically identical plants side by side sharing virtually the same location, sooner or later one of those plants will grow higher, get more water, more light, and reach maturity first. The other? Gone!  It’s called nature!!!  With ‘equality for all’ neither would be able to grow as it wouldn’t be fair L !!!  Long before reaching maturity, and therefore long before they could flower and produce seeds needed for future generations, both would die. They would not only be sacrificing themselves to ‘equality’, but the survival of the whole of their species! Imagine if all was ‘equal’ for all plants, or for that matter, all living things?   

     Example #2    Even if given two genetically identical squirrels in the same woods, odds are there would be some differences, and that one of those damn squirrels would be greedier than the other with more nuts stored. The only option to even attempt ‘equality’ here, would be to forcibly neutralize any individual ‘advantage’ caused by any ‘selfish’ exercise of free-will or ingenuity, and cage them!  Think of it as a mandated “shared sacrifice” for a mandated “shared prosperity”!  Next feed, water, exercise, and rest them identically till WALLA...equality!!!  Right? Right. Even in this increasingly controlled environment, one of those damn squirrels is going to choose to eat more, drink less, or refuse to do something.  DAMN!!! Still too much Liberty!!! So now the ‘governing experimenters’ must strap them down to force feed them, intravenously if need be, to forcibly ‘Nudge” them into ‘Equal Justice’! To what end? So both die as equal slaves at the exact same time?  Or was it more for the gross empowerment of the ‘governing experimenters’?       

      Neither Liberty nor opportunity can be expanded through ‘engineered’ social-justice, fairness or equality of Progressive Marxism, it must be sacrificed!

     As Americans, we must choose one or the other, or the choice may very well be made for us. It’s either the government controlled false hope and LIE of ‘social justice’ and “equality for all”, or the real and true compassion of God given Rights and ‘Rightful Liberty’ of “unobstructed action according to our will, within the limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others” (Thomas Jefferson) that best allow us and our Posterity, the incentive to accept the responsibility and the means necessary, to compete honorably in the “animated contest of Freedom” (Samuel Adams) !!!  J

   For the first time in the history of humankind, “We The People” were no longer just subject peasants laboring for the enrichment of others, government or a King! We were in charge and calling the shots! As a Free People, where could we possibly Progress to from there?

       Today however, there are those, including many in our own government, whose parasitic manifesto holds our Liberty, Right to an Individual Identity, and the Constitution itself IN CONTEMPT as a flawed, imperfect “Charter of Negative Liberties” that “reflects an enormous blind spot in our culture”{Barack Obama} even as they are sworn to “Preserve, Protect and Defend” it! Their Progressive/Marxist mission is to destroy the U.S. Constitution, sabotage Free-Market Capitalism, redistribute the wealth amongst themselves & their supporters, and confiscate what’s left of American Liberty, to “fundamentally transform” us from Free-Americans to ‘Wards of the State’!                  

        One only needs to think, and consider all the unsustainable spending, programs,  enslaving debts, kick-backs, subsidies, bribes, card check, regulatory czars, cap & trade, bailouts, Acorn, ‘Occupied’ businesses, gov. health care, Gun/Constitution-Free Zones,  reconciliation, amnesty, gov. land grabs, nuclear-options, no vote slaughter-options, climategate, & National ID Cards,  to know:

       The Dog is ‘OFF THE LEASH’!!!   So do we let it run and risk getting attacked by our own dog, or do we chase it down and re-leash it before it gets run over… by China?!?!?!

        Are our Founding Principles, Declaration Of Independence, Constitution and the Individual Freedom & Liberty it was established to secure, now to be considered archaic, out of style, or even a threat to the security of “Modern Society”?  Is our Individual Freedom contingent upon population?  Would we be better off if we no longer had to pursue happiness, and our “Blessings of Liberty” were exchanged for ‘a measure of entitlements’? Would we be more secure if “We The People”, the ‘True Militia’  and “Palladium of Freedom”, that won us our Independence and Freedom from one oppressive government, were to Surrender our Post and Arms to another government’s “Civilian National Security Force”…“that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded” as the US Military? Will we be healthier and live longer when our personal and family health, medical procedures, medication, and the need for them are determined by, and at the mercy of a ‘State Doctor’ and the Department Of Finance, instead of you and your Family Doctor?  Did our Founding Fathers intend that our Freedom and Liberty be protected in all the land, or only where the government so chooses to allow them?  Does the Constitution guarantee Freedom OF religion or Freedom FROM religion?  Has it gone unnoticed that there has been an increasing number of government owned or subsidized properties/institutions across America that have become, or are proposed to become “Gun Free Zones”?  Now that most have become OK with losing their Second Amendment Rights on school property, aren’t more and more people being routinely denied their Freedom of Speech and Religion there as well?  Have not our schools, and other government properties effectively become “Constitution Free Zones”?  As government seeks to expand, impose on, and control more and more of our life and the private sector,  such as banks, mortgage companies, factories, insurance companies, education, agriculture, dairy, energy, free-market values, labor, housing, and health care, what’s to stop them from expanding these restrictions into any aspect of our personal lives, even into our own homes?  Does the Constitution protect the rights of “We The People” and limit government, or does it empower government and sacrifice our Liberty for the greater good of “The Collective”?    

             As our Founding Fathers warned it would be, our Constitution has been Under Assault of increasing intensity, going back to the days of Woodrow Wilson’s “Living Constitution” allowing government to strengthen beyond it Constitutional constraints. Then it was FDR and the New Deal (that was even then deemed Unconstitutional by the Supreme Court), a “New Bill Of (economic) Rights” listing government backed entitlements, and as called for by John Dewy, “Organized Social Control” of a “Social Economy”. Dewy also called for an educational system that would down play empowered ‘self reliance’ and ‘rugged individualism’ in favor of a more government dependent generation. Dewy might not be one of history’s standouts to a ‘Free People’ but his writings have often been referred to by Mr. Obama’s long time associate Bill Ayres to justify his explosive form of “Social Justice”. Under Clinton we got the “Assault Weapons Ban” and “Brady Bill” that further limited our Right to Arms mostly according to their appearance. Under GW Bush we got the “Patriot Act”, “Stimulus Checks”, “Too Big To Fail” and “Bail-Outs”.  Under Obama, our Constitution is considered nothing more than “a Charter of Negative Liberties”, as was taught to him by the “Marxist Professors” he himself has said he ‘preferred to associate with’ in college. Under Obama the “Power of Persuasion” has been exchanged for Union Style “Persuasion of Power”, and our debt has been both dramatically increased and monetized (printing of money to cover overspending). In so doing, the groundwork for the dollar to crash and “Super-inflation” has been laid. If this happens, at best prices will go way up fast, at worst…. just look at what happened in Zimbabwe. At 4 million percent inflation, how many $50Billion bills (Zimbabwe’s largest bill in 2008) will it take to go get groceries?  Under Obama ethics have become relative to “Rules for Radicals”, the free market has been over-run by government, and the dollar trashed. Under Obama upward to 40 Czars have effectively become an unchecked 4^th branch of government, most being appointed without being properly vetted by the either the FBI or Congress. These Czars include not only Globalists and Anti-Capitalists, they include one to study our Independent and Freedom loving spirit, reverence for the Constitution, and how to change them, and an EX-CONVICT who has braggingly referred to himself as a MARXIST and a RADICAL COMMUNIST ACTIVIST.  Those businesses still left in the private sector are now forced to compete against a government, funded by their own tax dollars, that has no need to profit. Under Obama the government is intent on subsidizing Pro Socialist / Anti Freedom political propaganda both in print and on the radio that has no market value of it’s own, via a “Fairness Doctrine”, Political Diversity Czar, or both. Under Obama, taxpayers are being forced, unwillingly, to subsidize more and more unproven utopian theories through government mandates and/or giveaways such as “Cap & Trade” and “Cash for Clunkers” making energy prices “Necessarily Skyrocket”, cause a shortage of used cars and parts, create a temporary false demand for union labor, destroy assets, and “Nudge” us from our Liberty. Under Obama we got ‘SPREAD THE WEALTH and FLAG@WHITEHOUSE.COM so progressive statist liberals would have a place to ‘rat out’ their neighbors who talk about championing the Constitution, Freedom, and standing against unconstitutional government powers. Wonder if this brings back any bad memories to anyone in the Jewish Community?    

   Labor Unions, whose members are only 8-12% of the work force, and are privileged enough to earn wages 3 to 4 times their market value, are not only slotted for the lions share of Obama’s “Stimulus Bill”, they have somehow come to own almost 40% GM. No conflict of interest there, but who will represent the workers against their union bosses now, a union union? Truth is union shops could never be low bidder on any work if government didn’t “level the playing field” for them with “Prevailing Wage Laws”. Under Obama proposed government health service, written by the APOLLOW ALLIANCE(?), that includes the Service Employees International Union or SEIU, public employee unions such as SEIU, will eventually be adding every health care worker and related service workers to their dues paying ranks. Considering Great Brittan’s government health care system is the third largest employer in the world and America’s would dwarf it, that’s a lot of new dues. “Card Check” will insure anybody who votes against them will be known by all. Under Obama “We The People” have been brushed off as an astro-turf, swastika carrying racist “mob” of complaining “Bitter Clingers”, put on a “Potential Domestic Terrorist Watch List”, and even threatened into silence.  

          Do those of you who support such government intrusion and control, at the expense of Liberty, realize that you must argue against your own Freedoms, and the Freedoms of your children, to do so?

          How has it come to pass that the same Freedoms “We The People” considered so sacred and worth dying for at the time of our Founding, are now to be just tossed aside for a new and improved, kinder, gentler, fairer provider and protector?  Are we to see government entitlements as our ‘New Freedom’?  As the likes of Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, and Geronimo desperately fought to maintain their Freedom, do you think they viewed those of their own People who, in Treaty after Treaty, surrendered their Freedom and Liberty for a rations card and the “promised protection” of the US government as ‘Enlightened Progressives’?  Do you think those who came to be known as “Hang Around The Forts” waiting for their ‘measure of rations” are the example we should now follow?  Do you think Harriet Tubman, the “Moses Of Her People”, would have risked her life and that of the thousands she led through the “Under Ground Railroad” for the freedom of such ‘measured entitlements’ as food stamps, wic, welfare and other various social services that is today’s inner cities? Or do you think they had something else in mind? Where is the empowerment in working to qualify for such ‘entitlements’, in the People, or in government? Who has the brighter future? When the British were committing their “Long Train of Abuses” against the Americans, and we had no choice but to fight for our Independence or lose our Freedom, would the Liberal, Progressive, Socialist, and Statist crowd of today have fought along side of our Founding Fathers and Freedom against tyranny, or would they have attacked Liberty and those who championed it then, as they attack Liberty and those of us who champion it today? What I’m asking is… if the pro-government control ‘progressives’ had their way from the beginning, would there have ever been a Free and Independent America?    

             I am of the line that our Rights, Liberty, and Freedom are gifts from the Creator and preexists both the Constitution and government, as is recognized by our Founding Documents. Our government is born “Of The People”, and our Individual Liberties are “Above It’s Pay grade”.  I will continue to invoke all the Freedoms and Liberties of the ‘Free America’ that I, my family, and my Children are the rightful heir to…. A “Free America” where the Constitution is “Supreme Law of The Land” from “Sea To Shining Sea” without exception.

           To my “representatives”, be it state or federal, know this:

It’s the Constitution Stupid!!!!  I don’t care if you could guarantee me that I will never have to “fail” or “assume the risk of business” ever again, my Freedom is NOT FOR SALE, “Don’t Tread On Me”!!! I don’t care if you could guarantee that I will live disease-free until I’m 153 for free, my Freedom is NOT FOR SALE, “Don’t Tread On Me!!!! I don’t care if you could promise me a Police escort for each and every American 24/7, my Freedom is NOT FOR SALE, “Don’t Tread On Me!!! I don’t care if you could promise me you’ll make it rain in every desert, re-grow every forest, end all hurricanes, tornados, floods, fires and droughts, and the return of the do do bird, my Freedom is NOT FOR SALE, “Don’t Tread On Me!!! I don’t even care if government cheese is as good as you say, my Freedom is NOT FOR SALE, “Don’t Tread On Me”!!!  There is nothing that you or government can give me or my family, the only thing you can do is take from us what we have always had. What you say you have for me, give it back to those from whom you have stole it!

         At the risk of joining the many other American Patriots now being ‘Profiled’ by the Obama Administration’s Dept. of Homeland Security, and being placed prominently on their ‘Right Wing Extremist’ Potential Domestic Terrorist Watch List, I would like to thank Mr. K. Henderson for his common sense response to Mr. Weiskopf’s latest plug for the Brady Campaign’s assault on our Constitution on 4/16. Attacks on our Constitutional Rights must be getting a little slower than the Post would otherwise have it, as both of Weiskopf’s published letters on 2/8 and 4/14 are substantially identical.  It’s good to see you guys working so nicely together.

         How is it that, from the time of our Founding, that we have come to have so many among “The People”, who have come to so fear their own freedoms? To argue point counter point against those who would have America, relinquish her liberty, though easy enough, is to attempt to reason with the unreasonable. In any regard, the only true argument for our Arms and their direct relation to our Liberty is in our history, Our Revolution, The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and the context in which they were forged. And not the least of which lies with those who fought, sacrificed, and died for the “Miracle” that is The Constitution of our Republic..

          Pre-Revolutionary Americans traced what they saw as not only their Right, but their Duty, to Keep and Bear Arms as far back as the Act of 1645 in Massachusetts. This law required “That all inhabitants… are to have arms in their houses fit for service”. As English subjects certain: “true, ancient and indubitable rights”,allowed “That the Subjects which are Protestants, may have Arms for their Defense suitable to their Condition, and are allowed by Law”. (Founders Second Amendment, 11)

            On word the King intended to disarm Americans, it was announced by the anonymous Patriot “ABC” in the Boston Gazette on September 26, 1768, that there were, “Three Things in Command from the Ministry, more grievous to The People than anything hitherto made known. It is conjectured 1^st that the inhabitants be disarmed...” (FSA, 8)

                          Samuel Adams would quote William Blackstone to prove the colonists had, “the right of having and using arms for self- preservation and defense… personal security, personal liberty and privet property and when… the sanctions of society and laws are found insufficient to restrain the violence of oppression”. ( FSA, 20). Whig philosophy had it that “The instant a King violates his part of the contract…a Whig thinks that the legislative power of course returns to the People, and they are at their full Liberty to take Arms, and drive the tyrant from the throne.”(Founder’s Second Amendment, 67)

                         The British (not unlike Mr. Weisenkopf), saw the armed populous or, Militia, as treasonous, but the Patriots (not unlike gun owners today), saw them selves as law abiding and well within the rights. In February 1769 Samuel Adams published an editorial regarding Boston saying, “that the inhabitants had been ordered to bring in their arms”. The People were promised that if they complied their arms would be returned at a later time, and they would be allowed to leave Boston. It was a lie. After surrendering 1,778 firearms, 634 pistols, 273 bayonets and 38 blunderbusses (shotguns), they were held there imprisoned for months.  (FSA, 11-13)

             On April 18, 1775 General Gage (British) was ordered to “seize and destroy” all the ammo and arms in Concord. That night Gage’s own wife hung two lanterns in the church steeple. Paul Revere, knowing the British were coming to disarm “The People”, made his famous ride and call to arms, just hours before the “Shot Heard Round The World” was fired at Lexington. The Essex Gazette ran a piece on 4/25 that read, “The Militia of Lexington & Concord consisted of all able bodied men 16 to 60 be it gentlemen, yeomen, laborers, and apprentices…All providing their own arms, except a few poor who had to borrow them”.   Captain John Parker was the Commander of the Militia at Lexington. His musket still hangs today in the Massachusetts Senate Chamber as an “Icon of American Freedom”. It was bound by a trigger lock mandated by the Massachusetts Gun Control Act of 1998. (FSA)  

             British soldier David Ramsay said of The Bunker Hill Battle, “None of the provinces in this engagement are riflemen, but they were all good marksmen. The whole of their previous military knowledge had been derived from hunting, and the ordinary amusements of sportsman. The dexterity which by long habit they had acquired in hitting beasts, birds, and marks was fatally applied to the destruction of the British Officers.” (FSA, 97).    

            One Virginia Gentleman wrote, “We are all in arms, exercising and training old and young to the use of a gun. No person goes abroad without his sword, or gun, or pistols…every plain is full of armed men, who all wear a hunting shirt, on the left breast of which are sewed, in very legible letters, “Liberty or Death”. (FSA, 107))

               General Howe (British) sent a letter Governor Gage that read “to prevent the Abettors of Rebellion in their dangerous designs of leading forth the People, in the four New England Governments, to appose in Arms the Restoration of the Public Tranquility & Constitutional Authority of Governments…all cannons and small arms.. be seized and destroyed”. (FSA) Hmmmm, so to disarm “The People”, is to restore public tranquility and the authority of government?  Sound familiar?

               On July 4, 1776,  Our Founding Fathers, some with prices on their heads, at great risk to themselves and their families,  accused of High Treason under penalty of death by hanging, signed the ‘Declaration Of Independence’,  “When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to…assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them…..We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness. - That to secure these rights Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,-that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it…”.   Here-in lies the secret those who argue for stronger more controlling government don’t want you to realize. We The (Individual) People are born naturally with all of our Rights and Liberties as endowed to us naturally, by our Creator. The government was, and still is, instituted by us only to protect those rights, not limit or take them. 

.         Alexander Hamilton pointed this out in the Federalist Letters, as reiterated in the Constitution itself, “We The People...in Order to…secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”.  All you have to do is read the words to understand that the Constitution was establish specifically to do what it says, secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity; in perpetuity, as there is no expiration date.  And it was reaffirmed yet again in the “Bill of Rights”, Amendments I through X.  A couple  notes worth mentioning: although many things were debated before the final words written were chosen, no arguments are documented against the Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms,… not one. And nowhere does it say that government had the power to choose when and where the Constitution would or would not apply. Gun Free Zones are Constitution Free Zones.

             Government, be it State or Federal, has no rights, only powers, and then only those powers specifically delegated to it by the Constitution. Any Power not specifically delegated is reserved to The People. And last but not least, “We The People” have surrendered none of our Rights, or Powers to any government, we have always retained them. The down side for some is that, with all these Rights, Powers, Freedom and Liberty, comes responsibility. There in lies the chink in armor of our Republic, as there will always be those who are eager for the opportunity to be rid of the burden of responsibility for the lure of redistributed leisure, without it.

            In 1790 Roger Sherman commented, “[E]very Power still remained in the People and the state governments, except what had been given up to the United States by the new Constitution. The House was not about to relinquish to the state governments any part of it’s power;… or the right of declaring who should bear arms(?) He conceived it to be the privilege of every citizen, and one of his most essential rights, to bear arms, and to resist every attack upon his liberty or property, by whomsoever made. The particular states, like private citizens, have a right to be armed, and to defend, by force of arms, their rights when invaded.” (FSA)

           On the 2^nd Amendment, Justice Joseph Story, in his ‘Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States’ (1833) noted, “The importance of this article will scarcely be doubted by any persons, who have duly reflected upon the subject.  The militia is the natural defense of a free country against sudden foreign invasions, domestic insurrections, and domestic usurpations of power by rulers.  It is against sound policy for a free people to keep up large military establishments and standing armies in time of peace, both from the enormous expenses, with which they are attended, and the facile means, which they afford to ambitious and unprincipled rulers, to subvert the government, or trample upon the rights of the people.  The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.”

       I humbly yield my time to argue tit for tat against the current assault on our Constitution, to those who were there, at the time of our Revolution, to secure our Liberty from Tyranny. For those who conspire to disarm “The People”, the ‘True Militia’ and ‘Protector of Liberty’, conspire against the Constitution itself, as they conspire against the blood of Patriots, every drop, that was spilled for the Freedoms they seek to take from us.

                                                                 Matrix of Milk & Honey

               Although the promise of easy living doesn’t end at the city line, the contrast in the perception of government between Urban America and Rural America is unmistakable. It just may be what’s at the heart of why our nation has become so politically charged and polarized.

                  Those of us leery of an ever expanding government, who cherish our individual liberties, freedoms, and the philosophies of our Founding Fathers as set forth in the Declaration Of Independence and US Constitution, need to ask ourselves if people could ever see a government offering such benign accommodations as a threat? How does one unplug him/herself from the Matrix? Why would they want to when it offers so much? Who wants to consciously accept a reality where the most self reliant of them couldn’t perform the simplest of bodily functions without government? Who wants to acknowledge a reality where the US Constitution is meaningless, lawful productive citizens are the ones forcibly disarmed and bound by an ever tightening web of (unconstitutional) laws. Meanwhile the thugs, gangsters and the criminal element, by their nature as criminals remain unbound?

                Over time our society as a whole has become less and less self-reliant, not needing to provide for themselves. In so doing, urban Americans have long forsaken their individual identity and God given freedoms, for the lure of easy entitlements. Reducing a once vibrant, fiercely independent, and self reliant Free America to “hang around the forts” in a complacent state of ‘idle equalism’, begging for protection, and groveling for meager rations distributed by a most merciful government.  Is this freedom? Is it opportunity?  Or is it appeasement?   In truth it is a seductive narcotic, enmeshing the masses into statistical categories to be flaunted by government as trophy like political decoration, used to further their agenda. Is snuffing out the initiative, inspiration and faith in one’s self needed to achieve the ‘American Dream’ a cruel side effect of bad policy, or part of the plan?  How do we break it down for those ensnared by such government appeasement programs that the only real difference between the Matrix of milk & honey and prison, is the illusion of freedom.

               Although fewer and fewer, there are still those of us who do provide for ourselves by our own means, or we go without. If we have to go without, we do so not with envy of what we do not have, but with the sense of great satisfaction and contentment that comes from knowing what we do have, we have earned, and our bills are paid by the sweat of our own brow, not by any parasitic entitlement program force feeding me my rationed share of some successful host’s earnings.

                                               Rope and Chains

                     Therefore, to support the “Hope and Change” of Barack Obama, and his party, we must first surrender; Surrender as self-reliant, responsible, ‘Free Americans’ empowered with all our inalienable Individual rights and unlimited opportunity offered by our free market capitalist society, to support ‘The Man’ and his ‘Party’ who support:

-   “Only Government..” has the power to fix the economy.

-    Lifestyle taxes, be it on tobacco, soft drinks, fast foods, junk foods or thermostat settings.

-          Expanded anti-capitalist bailouts, giving government a ‘foot in the door’ to take over private businesses. AIG anybody? Ask dairy farmers who controls their milk prices, then ask where have all the family farms gone?

-     Extending our Constitutional rights to enemy prisonors of war, while limiting and/or eliminating those of our citizens.  .  

-     Giving convicted felons (including those with gun crimes) the right to vote, as a reward for their vote.

         -    Obama’s multi, multi -$Trillion ‘Stimulus Packages’, that have more to do with stimulating votes and perpetuating  ‘Party’ rule, than it does the economy. A close look reveals a well endowed political Kama Sutra, showing us just how many ways ‘Free America’ is going to be getting the screws put to her over the next generation or so.

                   The left will not stop expanding government control until the day our freedoms more closely resemble those of North Korea than they do the ‘Free America’ of our Founding Fathers. Hope & Change? More like Rope & Chains, and a sad irony it is, that it will be this nation’s first African American President, whose face history will remember as the one who led the charge to (re)bind ‘Free America’ and her people with the ‘Rope & Chains’ of tyranny; for the first time since the ‘Declaration Of Independence’ and ‘Emancipation Proclamation’. Obama and his “Party”, with their agenda just may succeed at destroying ‘Free America’ (A feat no foreign enemy ever could); and they just may be exactly who/what our Founding Fathers were trying to warn us about when they penned the Constitution.
